6-24x is the magnification range, adjustable from 6x to 24x. 50mm is the diameter of the objective lens at the front of the scope.
How is it different from the 4-16x44 scope?
The 6-24x50 reaches 24x with a 50mm objective, has 70-97mm of eye relief and is 370mm long. The 4-16x44 reaches 16x with a 44mm objective, has 60-65mm of eye relief and is 400mm long. Both have a red and green illuminated mil-dot reticle, a 21mm Picatinny footprint, an 800G shock rating and IPX4 splash resistance.
